#Ep.9: We are delighted to bring you today the highly respected podiatrist & sports injury specialist Ian Griffiths of Sports Podiatry Info and PodChatLive.
This episode really is a MUST listen for runners, therapists & coaches seeking evidence based ways to understand how we should be selecting running shoes, orthotics and insoles. Ian Griffiths has many years of experience working with in particular lower leg sports injuries and gives some excellent insight into how the traditional way of assessing & prescribing orthoses (inserts in layman's terms) has changed over the years, particularly with what we now know about the role of kinetics (forces) in injury rather than just focusing on kinematics (joint movement).
We also look at how YOU the runner can tell if the podiatrist / physiotherapist / sports therapist / health professional you visit is up to date with the evidence.
Apologies for the delay in starting the live broadcast. We started using new software this week to allow equal split screen so wasn't sure if we were actually live!
